Sounding Arrow, Breezers & Lee Baggett

Having built a reputation as a go-to talent in the jazz band Scrappy Hamilton and roots rock outfit Truth & Salvage Co., Scott Kinnebrew keeps the quality work coming with his solo project, Sounding Arrow.

Following up his 2017 album, Loving Is Breathing, the Asheville-based singer-songwriter and guitarist released Skyman on April 10. The record was co-produced with fellow local artist Gary Jules (best known for his cover of Tears for Fears’ “Mad World” that was memorably used in the film Donnie Darko). And according to a press release, Seth Avett of The Avett Brothers notes that the collection “offers some peaceful perspective in a hectic world and invites us to coast in the clouds together for a bit.”

Breezers has been Evan apRoberts’s musical nom de plume since 2016 but he has been active in the LA music scene since the mid 90s. His first solo record, Under the Ghost, released in 2010, was a hit in LA’s underground country/folk scene but apRoberts is more known for the work he has done as a hired gun, supporting different artists on guitar and/or bass and vocals. His career as a touring sideman began in the mid 2000s and apRoberts has worked for some impressive acts along the way including Michael Nau, Pink Mountaintops, Joel Jerome, Little Wings, Kath Bloom, Tall Tales and the Silver Lining, Kings of Convenience, Elisa Randazzo and Port O’Brien, a band M Ward called his “favorite new band” in a 2008 interview with Pitchfork.

Lee Baggett, a enigmatic singer-songwriter hailing from the Philippines, has carved a niche for himself in the indie rock world with his ethereal melodies and introspective lyrics. A constant presence in the underground music scene, Baggett's captivating tunes echo with the warmth of West Coast sunsets and the haze of forgotten memories.

A true musical wanderer, Lee Baggett's elusive persona and timeless sound weave a mysterious tapestry that keeps audiences enthralled, leaving them longing for more. With each note, Baggett's music whispers of a hidden world, where the sun never sets and the melodies linger on, transcending time and space.

The Lowest Pair

The Lowest Pair

The Lowest Pair is an American folk band consisting of dual banjoists, Kendl Winter and Palmer T. Lee. Formed in 2013, the band takes its name from the poem by musician, John Hartford. Lee and Winter are two kindred spirits who first met on the banks of the Mississippi while touring the Midwest festival circuit. Born and raised in Arkansas, Winter found herself drawn to the evergreens and damp air of the Pacific Northwest, as well as the boundless music scene of Olympia, Washington. She released three solo records on Olympia-based indie label, K Records, and performed in ramblin’ folk bands and anarchic punk bands before serendipitously meeting Lee in 2013. Lee had built his first banjo when he was 19 from pieces he inherited and began cutting his teeth fronting Minneapolis string bands before convincing Winter that they should form a banjo duo. Now, as The Lowest Pair, they have recorded and released five albums together, relentlessly toured North America, and ventured to the UK twice, playing over 500 live shows over the past five years.

Mt. Fog & IROIRO (feat. members of IQU)

Mt Fog (Seattle) crafts “cosmic soundscapes that surprise and delight” (KEXP), blending haunted-forest art pop with violin-driven atmospherics and dance-floor pulse. Called “Seattle’s premier art-pop eccentric” (Bandcamp Daily), Mt Fog’s live set moves between ethereal, theatrical, and euphoric.

Praised for “all-encompassing atmospherics” (Bandcamp Daily) and “bird-like fluidity… something magic” (Dusted), Mt Fog has performed across the Northwest and Europe, appearing at Timber Fest, Capitol Hill Block Party, TARBOO, and more. Their albums Spells of Silence and ultraviolet heart machine received major acclaim from KEXP, Bandcamp, the Seattle Times, and WASH.

A new album, Every Stone is Green, arrives March 13, 2026.

Led by members of the inimitable IQU, Michiko Swiggs (synths) and Kento Oiwa (guitar/theremin), Iroiro also feature drummer Justin Schwartz (Cobra High) and bassist/synthesist James Drage (SIL2K). They prove that having a singer is unnecessary when you create music this potently psychedelic. Iroiro haven’t been around very long, but their impact so far has been seismic among true heads, and moving forward, it’s only going to intensify.
