Tim McBride & the Divide / Merwulf

In over twenty five years of creating and performing music, Tim has been eschewing trends or sticking with one "brand" in favor of a musical exploration that continues to evolve to this day. His latest album, 2018's Tim McBride & The Divide is a rootsy rock n' roll synthesis of many influences that falls somewhere between early Stiff Records artists (e.g. Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello) and good old American rock and roll (e.g. The Blasters and Tom Petty).

Tim has toured up and down the West Coast and across the US in various musical incarnations (as a solo act, and fronting Olympia punk band Hook & The Daggers, baseball punk band Warning Track , RootsPunkBlues band The Deep Wile, Seattle punks The Snubs and Olympia based Tim McBride & The Divide)

The current incarnation of Tim’s band “the Divide” features Ira Peterson on drums and Matt Mueller on bass.

Merwulf (rhymes with werewolf) is a minimalist post-indie-punk trio from Portland, Oregon. Built around distorted bass, vintage-style keys, and hard-hitting drums, the band is often compared to modern post-punk acts like Gustaf and Sweeping Promises, as well as earlier touchstones from 1970s New York. Overseas radio has also tagged Merwulf as a Riot Grrrl band, a read the group welcomes even as their sound slips between scenes.
